"There's a lot of hype around ZMA and it seems to have been built up into being this weird, almost mythical, magical supplement for athletes and body builders. I'm not either of those, but I do like to workout to stay fit and I've been sorely lacking in energy and strength recently, so I decided to give it a go.
I feel a whole lot better for it, and not only in the gym – I'm concentrating better at work and I don't feel as sluggish in my daily life either. Apparently lots of people have a zinc deficiency without knowing it, and that means lower testosterone, so maybe that's why I'm seeing an improvement.
I've also lost a bit of weight, which might be from a better metabolism. As I understand it, ZMA boosts the thyroid, so makes it easier to burn off fat.
I'd recommend giving ZMA a try if you think your hormones might be out of whack, or if you're just plain exhausted. Some of the side effects they talk about are true – get ready for some weird dreams! – but overall it works for me and I plan to keep taking it"
